God captured my heart when I was 19 years of age. That was when I decided to follow Jesus. I knew in the depths of my being that there was no turning back to my old life. I began serving Him shortly after my conversion.
As a teenager, I was not fully aware of the cost of being God’s child and servant. But I still offered all that I had at that time, and it looks like a big leap of faith for me.
But what I offered was nothing compared to the love, grace and mercy I have received from God for a sinner like me. While doing ministry at that age, I encountered difficulties, challenges, and persecutions but the most trying one was the persecution from my own family.
It hurt so much that it felt like I was dying inside. But God’s love, strength, and grace sustained me during that time of troubles. This trial did not break me but rather made me more committed and passionate to live for and serve the LORD, who alone is worthy of complete devotion from His people.
God gave me a breakthrough and I met my wife, who became my partner in the ministry as well. At first, we offered our house as a temporary church.
OUR MINISTRY
The “I Love Jesus Christian Fellowship Church” was built in 2016 as a pioneering church in Putatan, Muntinlupa City.
Because churches have a difficult time finding the perfect place to worship and study the Word of God, after a year of evangelism, discipleship, mentoring, and counseling the converts, our congregation settled in a house church – my own house.
I offered the exterior part of our house so that the members and visitors will neither suffer from overexposure to heat nor will not get wet from the pouring rain. In spite of the situation, the church continues to grow spiritually and in favor of the community we serve.
We started from house-to-house visitation, then, we conducted different children’s program which attracted more people to come and worship with us. We felt like the love of God was indeed in our midst. As the days go by, we are grateful for how the Lord has worked on our behalf.
