PASTOR BENJIE MAHILOC

PURISIMA FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH
Negros Occidental, Philippines

I received the Holy Spirit when I was in grade six during a summer youth camp when I placed my faith in Jesus Christ as my Personal Lord and Savior from all my sins. In response to the new life I found in Christ, I got involved in different church activities like singing in the church choir, being an active member of young people’s fellowship and serving in other church areas. I also decided to follow the leading of the LORD in my life and enrolled at Doane Baptist Seminary in Iloilo City. I am now serving in a full time ministry where I exercise my gift of teaching.

OUR MINISTRY

This all started when the LORD placed a burden in my heart to pioneer a work in Barangay Purisima, Manapla, Negros Occidental. I brought the matter to my good Christian friends and we prayed for almost a year to seek God’s will regarding the matter. After a year of prayer, the Lord opened the door and we began visitations, tracts distribution, and sharing
the gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ. Six months later, we started home bible studies and outreaches for children. The following year, we began holding Sunday school and worship service. On Saturdays, we teach children in the centers in order to evangelize them. We also hold cottage prayer fellowship and home bible studies with the new Christians.

There is also biblical teaching in Manapla National High School, Purisima Extension. With much prayer, we are able to build a chapel in Barangay Purisima, Manapla, Negros Occidental. Our vision is to saturate the whole village with the Word of God as we believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the heart through hearing God’s Word.

HOW YOU CAN INVEST IN ETERNITY

The tithes and offerings are used towards the renovation of the church building due to the damages on the roof and part of the wall. We feel this is a more urgent need due to safety reasons. The church cannot afford to bring all the volunteers in our outreaches due to lack of funds. The church also needs a tricycle to be able to access the outreaches and other areas for evangelism and discipleship training. We appeal to you, our potential supporters, we need your continuing help and we covet your valuable time for prayer, and need your generous heart to give. With your support, we can advance the kingdom of God in Zamboanga and glorify Him in all aspects of our lives.
